Chamber Music Finalists: Melrose Trio: Jean Lin, piano, Lijia Xie, violin, Lynn Yip, cello ( F.J.Haydn Piano Trio)
Cello/Piano Duo: Jonathan Chen, cello, Kevin Lin Piano (Brahms Cello Sonata in e minor)
The Melrose Trio also participated in the Tri- County Youth Music Festival Competition and earned "Honorable Mention"
Our JUNIOR PIANO TRIO won the GOLD MEDAL at the
YPC of New Jersey competition, Finals at Steinway Hall in New York, February 19th, 2010.

Our partnership with the YMCA in Germantown makes wonderful progress. October 2nd, we started a Music Appreciation class ( 2 sessions) and October 4th, Recorder (Baroque Flute) Classes for 5 and 6 year old children.
The teachers are Natalia Hancharonak and Daniel Shapiro.Private and group instrumental lesson are also planned, starting as soon as more funding is available. The string instruments and the Recorders are a gift by Mr. Benjamin Chou, West Chester, PA.LMA/ Franz Fassbind Foundation and its faculty are proud and happy to bring Music to children less fortunate and from financially stressed families.

LMA Students and faculty will again play a concert at Stapley, Retirement Home in Germantown, June 10, 2007 at 2.30 PM
Christina Gupfinger, 16, piano student of Ursula Ingolfsson at LMA was successfully admitted to Princeton University, for her Academic studies including a minor in Music.
Christina Gupfinger , 16, piano was the piano soloist in the Double Concerto for violin and piano (and orchestra) touring Korea and China for 2 weeks in March 2007.
Jean Lin, 12, piano, succeeded in the preliminary round of the 2007 World Piano Competition, scoring 96 out of 100 points. She will enter the semi final round in Cincinnati July 2007.
LMA students and faculty will play a concert for the YMCA Germantown, March 24th 2007 at 3 PM, celebrating the arrival of the Digital Piano donated by LMA, The Franz Fassbind Foundation, local businesses, LMA parents and private sponsors from the community.
LMA student Brian Cai 13, got Silver at the World Piano Competition in Cincinnati, OH. This is an International Competition for Young Artists up to 18, and a professional division for pianists 20- 30 years old. The winners will play at Carnegie Hall , NY in October.We have two winners in the Young Pianist Competition of New Jersey!!!
Kelsey Liu, 9 years old from Bucks County, 2nd Place
Esther Lee, 14 years old, 3rd Place, Bensalem, Bucks County
Both will play at Carnegie, Weill Hall, June 12th 2005
We have 4 students who past the preliminary round for the World Piano Competition( an international competition) held in Cinicinnati. They will enter the semi-finals and possibly the finals in July 2005.
Brian Cai, 12, scored 99 out of 100
Esther Lee, 14 scored 98 out of 100
Jean Lin, 10 scored 98 out of 100
Iris Chan, 9 scored 98 out of 100.
They compete in the Concerto Division, which requires a piano concerto and 3 solo works.

Christina Gupfinger, 13 won the concerto competition at the Lawrenceville School, NJ. She will perform the Mozart Concerto in G-Major, KV453 in May with orchestra.
Christina Tsai, 13, won second place in an "All Middle School instrumental competition" in Montgomery County, PA.
Mrs Ursula Ingolfsson was nominated by International Biographical Centre" in Cambridge, England, to be Deputy Director General for the United States
She was also nominated by the American Biographical Center together with a very restricted number of people to be included in Great Minds of the 21st Century.
The book will be distributed to major libraries all over the world including the Library of Congress

with Lansdowne Symphony Orchestra December
21st, 2003. She will perform the concerto in C-Major,
